Anthony Alfredo Earns Top-10 Finish at Phoenix After Strong Qualifying Run
AVONDALE, Ariz. (March 7, 2026) — Anthony Alfredo delivered a solid performance Saturday night in the GOVX 200, qualifying fourth and finishing 10th at Phoenix Raceway.
Driving the No. 96 Chevrolet for Viking Motorsports with DUDE Wipes on board, Alfredo showed strong speed early in the weekend, placing his car on the second row for the start of the race after an impressive qualifying effort.
During the 200-lap event, Alfredo maintained a competitive pace throughout the race. He finished 11th in Stage 1 before slipping slightly in the middle portion of the race with a 17th-place result in Stage 2. The team continued to make adjustments during pit stops, allowing Alfredo to climb back into the top 10 during the final run to the checkered flag.
The finish placed Alfredo among the race’s top performers in an event that featured intense competition before Justin Allgaier captured the victory after passing Jesse Love in the closing laps.
For Alfredo and Viking Motorsports, the result represents another solid step forward as the team continues to build momentum during the early portion of the 2026 season.
Alfredo: “A Solid Night for Our Team”
Following the race, Alfredo credited the Viking Motorsports team for giving him a competitive car throughout the weekend.
“We had really good speed in our No. 96 DUDE Wipes Chevrolet all weekend and qualifying fourth showed the potential we had,” Alfredo said. “Phoenix is always a tough track to manage over a long run, but the team kept working on the car and we were able to bring home a top-10 finish. It’s a good step for us as we keep building momentum.”
