ANTHONY ALFREDO WINS STAGE AT MARTINSVILLE, LEADS 17 LAPS

Third Stage Victory of Season Highlights Speed Following Announcement of 2027 Return to Viking Motorsports

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (November 1, 2026) — Anthony Alfredo put Viking Motorsports at the front of the field Saturday at Martinsville Speedway, winning Stage 2 and leading 17 laps in the National Debt Relief 250. Driving the No. 96 DUDE Wipes Dumpkin Spice Chevrolet, Alfredo collected points in both stages before finishing 17th in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event.

Starting 11th, Alfredo moved into the top 10 during the opening stage and crossed the line eighth, earning three stage points.

The second stage brought Alfredo’s strongest stretch of the afternoon. He first took the lead on Lap 107, then returned to the front on Lap 110 and held the position through Lap 125. Alfredo finished the stage ahead of Justin Allgaier, collecting 10 additional points and securing his third stage victory of the season.

The two stints at the front totaled 17 laps led, with the Chevrolet’s speed and crew chief Josh Graham’s strategy helping put the No. 96 in position to capitalize.

Alfredo returned to the top 10 during the final stage, but shorter runs and side-by-side racing made it difficult to turn that pace into a stronger finish. His Chevrolet performed best once a run reached roughly 10 laps, leaving fewer opportunities to take advantage of its speed between restarts. He completed all 250 laps and crossed the finish line 17th.

“We should have finished a lot better than we did and I’m pretty upset about that,” Alfredo said.

Despite the frustrating finish, Alfredo’s stage performance produced a valuable points day. His 13 stage points combined with 20 points for the finishing position gave the DUDE Wipes team 33 points for the afternoon.

Alfredo remains 16th in the driver standings with 717 points. He gained seven points on Ryan Sieg at Martinsville, narrowing the gap to 15th place to 16 points heading into the season finale. His season totals include three top-five finishes and 10 top-10 results through 32 starts.

The Martinsville performance came during a week that also brought confirmation of Alfredo’s plans for next season. Viking Motorsports announced on October 29 that Alfredo will return to the No. 96 Chevrolet for the 2027 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season, with Graham continuing as crew chief. The pairing will have another year to build on the progress made during the No. 96 team’s first season together.

“Being able to carry that momentum into the offseason is huge for us,” Alfredo said of his return.

With next season’s plans in place, Alfredo and Graham now turn their attention to Homestead-Miami Speedway, where they will look to convert their recent speed into a strong finish to the 2026 season.
