NASCAR K&N Pro Series East

Hi everyone,
I wanted to do a personal post regarding our first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race of the year. It has been just over a week now from the race and I am itching to get back in the car. Our next race is not until April 14 at Bristol Motor Speedway, one of my favorite race tracks, so you can imagine how anxious I am.
Reflecting back upon our weekend at New Smyrna Speedway, I would say that we started off on a good note and showed that we will definitely be a contender this year. We unloaded fast and made gains all weekend long. I was content with our qualifying results and thought we had a strong run going in the beginning of the race. We were running in third behind last year’s East series champion and two-time West series champion who both have a lot of seat time in these cars. I had learned a lot throughout the whole weekend, especially racing with those with more experience. The car faded on us and we fell out of the top three, then just outside the top five as the race progressed. We then got caught up in an on track incident on lap 133 causing enough damage that forced us to retire from the race. Not completing the first race is tough to swallow, especially since it puts us in a little bit of a hole as far as our championship run goes. However, we learned quite a bit as a team throughout the weekend and can definitely build off of it. I know the crew is already looking forward to the next one just as I am and they have been working hard in the shop.
Based on my time in the shop and at our first race, I really enjoy working with the crew I have for this season. I have confidence leading into the remainder of the season. I want to thank you all for your support and those who have helped make this possible.
Sincerely,
Anthony
